Howard University Opens Season on the Road
Bowling Green, OH--The Howard University men’s basketball team will open the 2011-12 season against the Falcons of Bowling Green University on Friday at 7 pm. The Falcons, who are coming off a 10-18 season, could have special incentive as they will be playing in the recently completed Stroh Center. It will be the first time that a regular season game has been played in the facility.

Former Howard Basketball Standout Passes Away
Former Howard University basketball player George Hamilton died this past Saturday as a result of a stroke he suffered on Tuesday. Hamilton, 44, was employed at Patterson Elementary School as a paraprofessional in the physical education department and served as the girls basketball coach there.

Howard University Mourns Loss of Fallen Bison
The Howard University athletic family is mourning the loss of former Bison football player Eddie Graham Hayes. Hayes played for Howard from 1984-89 and was a player on the 1987 team that finished 9-1 and was nationally ranked.
