Howard Track Gears Up for MEAC Championships
The Howard University men's and women's outdoor track teams will travel to Greensboro, NC to participate in the 2006 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championships.
The 2006 championships will be held May 4-6 at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.
The women's team will rely on senior LaClaire Carter (100 meters, long jump) and sophomore Lauren McNary (400 meters) to help them better their 3rd place finish from a year ago.
The men's side, the hurdle combination of seniors Jacoby DuBose (110 meters), Nicholas Wright (400 meters) and freshman Daniel Kinney (100 meters) to lead the way.
The championships begins Thursday, May 4 at 9 a.m. with the Heptathlon and Decathlon. The individual running events begins Thursday, May 4 at 3 p.m.
There are no contests upcoming.
