Four Additional Qualify for MEAC Indoor Championships

            Four additional athletes qualify for the 2006 MEAC Indoor Track Championships set for February 17-19, at the Prince Georges Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Md.

            LaClaire Carter, who has already qualified for the 60 meter dash, qualified in the long jump by jumping 5.68 meters (18’7 ¾”) at the George Mason Invitational held this past weekend.  Along with Carter on the women side, Alicia Williams qualified in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:23.65.

            On the men side, Nicholas Wright ran 8.34 to qualify in the 60 meter hurdles and Rawn Bosely qualified in the shot put with a throw of 12.73 meters (41’9¼”).
