LANDOVER, MD. - The Howard men's and women's track team took 11th and 9th, respectively, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex.

The women's squad brought home 26 points and were highlighted by a pair of top eight finishes by Landria Buckley, Ashley Hodges and Jessica Neal. Buckley took fourth in the 60m hurdles with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 8.66. She later finished sixth in the 200m dash in 25.23.

Hodges was the runner up in the mile run (5:11.24) and grabbed eight team points for Howard while finishing eighth in the 800m run in 2:19.57. Neal was sixth in the 3000m run (10:48.86) and eighth in the mile in 5:21.53.

Alexandria Lemonious took sixth in the women's long jump after leaping 5.48m (17-11.75 feet) while the distance medley team (Charisse Bullock, Latayvia Jackson, Tamila Myles and Brittany Jackson) took home two team points with its seventh place finish.

The men's team got a fourth place finish in the 60m hurdles (8.06) by Daniel Kinney. Thurman Sanders was sixth in the mile run in 4.25.14 and the distance medley team of Andre Williams, Christopher George, Richard Williams and Sanders placed 8th in 10:54.74

Howard wrapped up its indoor season with the meet and will return to action on March 14-15 at the UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational in Wilmington, N.C.
