Apr 12, 2008HU Fares Well at Lou Onesty Invite
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. - Howard brought home 10 top-10 finishes at the Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational, hosted by the University of Virginia, on April 11 at Lannigan Field. On the men's side, junior Daniel Kinney won the 110m hurdles (14.18) and was the runner up in the 400m hurdles (52.85). Stephen Small-Warner finished fourth in the long jump after leaping 7.06m (23.16 feet) and Thurman Sanders took sixth in the 1500m run in 4:00.14. The men's 4x400m 'A' relay team was fifth in 3:21.15 while Anthony Penny crossed the 100m dash line in 10.90. The women's squad got a good outing from Landria Buckley with the sophomore finishing first in the 100m hurdles (13.67) and second in the 400m hurdles (1:02.04). Freshman Ashley Hodges was the runner up in the 800m run (2:14.54) and Alexandria Lemonious took seventh in the 100m hurdles in 14.42. The Lady Bison 'A' team took ninth in the 4x400m relay in 3:59.70. Howard next travels to Emmitsburg, Md. for the Erik Kloiber Centennial Metro Invitational on Saturday, April 19.
