Newport News, Va- Landria Buckley and the women's 4x400m relay team each won gold during competition at the Vince Brown Invitational on Feb. 9 in Newport News, Va.

Buckley, who is currently ranked third in the MEAC in the 200m dash, crossed the line in 24.91, good enough for a first place finish. The sophomore also finished second in the 55m hurdles in 7.95. Ashley Hodges had a good showing for the Lady Bison as well, taking home a first place finish in the 1 mile run in 5:09.80.

The women's 4x400m relay team (Alexandria Lemonious, Buckley, Hodges, and Brittany Stephens) took first in 3:59.14.

Lemonious fared well in the long jump, leaping 5.37m (17-07.50 feet).

Howard will return to action on this weekend at the MEAC Indoor Championships in Landover, Md.
