Buckley Advances to 400m Hurdles Semifinal; McNary's Season Ends at NCAA Championship

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. - Senior Landria Buckley continued competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Wednesday, advancing past the preliminary round of the 400m hurdles to Thursday's event semifinals.

Buckley timed 57.88 seconds to take second in her heat and qualify for the semifinals, finishing seventh overall. The top three finishers from each of the four heats plus the next four best times automatically advanced.

The 400m semifinals will be held on Thursday at 6:45 pm To make it to Friday's final, Buckley must either finish in the top three in her heat or post one of the next two fastest times.

Buckley will also see action in the 100m hurdle preliminaries on Thursday at 5:30 pm.

McNary wrapped up her postseason campaign with a 54.11 mark in the 400m dash preliminaries. The senior was fourth in her heat, one spot shy of moving on to the semifinal round.
