FAIRFAX, VA. - Howard brought home numerous top-10 finishes during action at the Father Diamond Invitational in Fairfax, Va.

The Bison men got a second place finish from Michael Houston in the 400m run. The freshman finished the course in 50.56. Brandon Hill was seventh in the same event in 51.80.

Benjamin Rosa was third in the high jump after leaping 1.95m (6'4"). He later jumped 13.21m (43'3") for a seventh place finish in the triple jump.

Tochi Odocha won bronze in the 200m dash (22.83) and Richard Williams was third in the 800m run after crossing the line in 1:55.70. Jerod Franklin took eighth in the same event in 2:02.25.

Marcus Harrison led a 7-9-11 finish for Howard in the 60m dash. Harrison finished in 8.51 while Carnegie Tirado (8.59) and DeAndre Henderson (8.62) took ninth and 11th, respectively.

Thurman Sanders had two top-10 finishes. The senior was ninth in the mile (4:29.11) and 10th in the 3000m run (9:17.17).

The Lady Bison got a first-place finish from Jami Hardy in the 800m run (2:21.13). Danielle Douglas was not far behind with her second-place finish in 2:24.93.

Landria Buckley was the top collegiate finisher in the 60m hurdles (8.47) with her third place finish. The Michigan native also helped the 4x400m relay team (Abigail Reid, Brittany Stephens, Buckley, Hardy) to a bronze medal. The squad finished the race in 3:59.33.

Dontranika Horton took third in the triple jump (11.47m or 37'6") and Ashley Hodges was seventh in a pair of events. The junior finished the mile in 5:15.82 before crossing the 1000m run line in 3:12.85.

Zahra Thomas (1:00.44) and Symone Glover (1:00.70) were sixth and eighth, respectively, in the 400m dash.

Reid took seventh in the 200m dash (26.35) and TeaCarla Wade was 10th in the 60m dash (8.02).

Howard returns to action on Jan. 16 at the Maryland Invitational in Landover, Md.
