Landria Buckley Named MEAC Track Athlete of the Week

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Senior Landria Buckley (Romulus, Mich./Romulus H.S.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced today.

Buckley won two individual titles at the Bucknell Bison Opener. The senior provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship with a first-place time of 8.42 in the 60m hurdles and captured the gold in the 200m dash with a time of 24.39. Buckley was also a member of the 4x400m relay team that finished in fourth with a time of 3:59.59.  

The mark has also qualified the Michigan native for the USA Track and Field Indoor Championship.

Howard is off for a few weeks, next returning to action on Jan. 9 at the Father Diamond Invite in Fairfax, Va.
