Five Bison Named All-Conference at MEAC Indoor Championship

LANDOVER, MD. - Five Bison received All-Conference honors during action at the MEAC Indoor Track and Field Championship Saturday evening at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex.

Landria Buckley was named first team All-MEAC in the 60m hurdles after winning the event in 8.45. She also garnered second team all-conference honors in the 200m dash and helped the 4x400m relay team (Danielle Douglas, Jami Hardy, Symone Glover, Buckley) to second team all-league honors.

Hardy was a silver medalist in the 800m run after crossing the line in 2:13.92. The sophomore was named to the All-MEAC second team for her efforts.

The Bison men saw Benjamin Rosa place third in the triple jump. The Connecticut native jumped 14.18 meters (46'5") en route to a bronze medal and third team All-MEAC honors.

The Lady Bison were sixth in the team standings while the men placed 11th.

The Norfolk State men's and women's track teams won the 2010 titles. Hampton finished second followed by North Carolina A&T on the men's side, while Hampton and Maryland Eastern Shore round out the top three in the women's team standings.
