Howard Falls to UMES in Four

Princess Anne, MD---The Howard women's volleyball team fell to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, 3-1, (24-30, 30-23, 24-30, 30-23) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match-up.

The Lady Bison, (2-7, 0-1 MEAC), and the Lady Hawks, (6-7, 2-0 MEAC), went point-for-point in each of the four games, but UMES managed to get the best of Howard in the end.

Janel James led the way for the Lady Bison with 15 kills, 16 digs and one block assists.  Morgan Maxwell contributed 13 kills-13 digs, Jenica Leonard had 15 digs in the loss and Shannon Grant put up 33 assists in the match.

UMES' Caylin Woodward led all attackers in kills with 21.

The Lady Bison will host Hampton University this Thursday, Sept. 21 at 6 pm at the Trinity Center on the campus of Trinity College.
