BALTIMORE, MD - Morgan State defeated Howard 3-0 (30-27, 30-28, 30-18)in a MEAC women's volleyball decision Friday evening at Hill Field House.

Freshman Keri Partridge led the Bison in kills with nine. Junior Janel James chipped in with seven kills and seven digs while Monique McCoy paced Howard with a team-high 11 digs.

Freshman Gazelle d'Artois dished out 21 assists. Kimberly Watson added two solo blocks and four block assists.

Morgan State got a match-high 17 kills from Esther Johnson. Jeniqua Moran added 13 kills while Ashley Preston led the Bears in digs with 12.

Howard (2-16, 1-1 MEAC) returns to action on Oct. 3 with a conference match at Maryland Eastern Shore at 7pm.
