Lady Netters Fall in Non-Conference Action
HARRISONBURG, VA. - James Madison defeated Howard 3-0 (26, 30-13, 30-16) in a non-conference volleyball matchup Tuesday night in Harrisonburg. The Dukes improved to 12-8 with the win while the Lady Bison fell to 4-20 with the loss.
Morgan Maxwell paced Howard with a team-high seven kills and 10 digs. Janel James and Elyssa Lee added five digs each and Gazelle d'Artois finished with 22 set assists.
James Madison got double-digit kills from Allyson Halls (16) and Lindsay Callahan (11). Jena Pierson dug out a match-high 22 digs and setter Lauren Miles chipped in with 43 assists.
HU had twice as many blocks as the Dukes but hit .042 as a team compared to .339 by James Madison.
The Bison return home tomorrow when they host Delaware State in a MEAC contest at 7pm in Burr Gymnasium.
There are no contests upcoming.
