Named the 2006-07 Pre-Season All-MEAC First Team, Benson is expected to use her versatility this season to help lead the Lady Bison. She is a player whothat will no doubt be effective both on the post and from the perimeter.

2005-06: Benson ranked amongstamong the best forwards in the MEAC.  She was ranked second in blocked shots and in the top 15 in scoring, field goal percentage, and three-point shots made in the MEACconference.  She led the Lady Bison in blocks with 35 and was second in scoring averaging 12.2 points per game.  She recorded career highs with in 23 points against(23 vs Lafayette in November, 2005-11/21/05) and 7 blocks against  (7 vs Bethune-Cookman- in February, 2006.2/18/06)

2004-05: Benson had a super sophomore campaign.  She was third on the team in points and rebounds, averaging 8.7 and 4.7 respectively.  She shot 30 percent from behind the three-point arc.

2003-04: Saw action in 24 of 28 games with 10 starts...in 17.8 minutes, she averaged 6.4 points, 4.6 rebounds.  She equaled her season high of 16 points three times during the season.

High School:  A standout athlete at Dunbar High SchoolSchool,... Benson was named to the All-State and All-City teams four yearsyears straight. Her ...as a senior year, she was named a District 15 Aall-Sstar, most valuable player of her team and an All-State Tournament selection while leading her team and in scoring and rebounding.
