Tamaya Daniels Named MEAC Player of the Week

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Junior Tamaya Daniels (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham H.S.) was tabbed as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the conference announced today.

Daniels hit the game winning basket to lift Howard past then Florida A&M, 73-72, for the Lady Bison's first win of the season. In her second double-double of the year, Daniels scored 18 points, on 7-of-10 from the field, and grabbed 12 rebounds in the victory. She added three blocked shots and one steal in the defensive effort. 

Howard faces off against Bethune-Cookman in a MEAC decision tonight at Burr Gymnasium. Tip-off is slated for 6 pm.
