IUPUI Takes Down Howard; Brown Named to All-Tournament Team
MOON TOWNSHIP, PA. - IUPUI took down Howard, 61-45 in the consolation game of the Robert Morris Thanksgiving Classic. Sophomore Zykia Brown (Riverdale, Md./Parkdale H.S.) was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.
Brown averaged 17 points, three assists, three rebounds and two steals during the two-day tourney. She had a team-high 15 points against the Jaguars on Sunday in just 23 minutes of action.
Lonice Kenley chipped in eight points while Tamaya Daniels and India Bradford added six apiece.
Howard shot well beyond the arc, connecting on 7-of-17 treys (41.2%) while limiting the Jaguars to 3-of-12 shooting from 3-point range.
The Bison are off for a few days and return to action on Thursday, Dec. 4 with a matchup against William and Mary. HU faces conference foe Hampton on Saturday, Dec. 6.
