The Games
The Howard women's basketball team opens up play at the Robert
Morris Thanksgiving Classic with a contest against the host
Colonials. The Bison, still searching for its first win, look to
get started on the right foot before facing off with Wright State
or IUPUI on day two of the tournament.
HU fell to Central Michigan, 74-56 in its last time out on Nov. 21. Sophomore Zykia Brown led all players with a game-high 22 points. Senior Tamaya Daniels paced Howard with 16 rebounds, also a game-high, while Lonice Kenley chipped in 10 points off the bench.
Robert Morris fell to Illinois State, 94-82 in the consolation round of the preseason WNIT. Monet Johnson had a game-high 37 points while Kendra Williams and Monica Jones chipped in 18 and 10, respectively.
Wright State downed Eastern Kentucky, 53-47 in its last contest while IUPUI fell to USC Upstate, 73-63 in its last time out.

Scouting Robert Morris
RMU is 0-3 with losses to Xavier, Ball State and Illinois
State. Monet Johnson is averaging a team-high 24.0 points per game
while Monica Jones is scoring 13.7 points per game for the
Colonials. Johnson is also tops on the team with 8.7 rebounds and
per game.
Robert Morris is coached by Sal Buscaglia, who is in his 6th season with the Colonials. He has a 90-64 record at RMU and a 577-255 mark overall as a head coach.
Scouting Wright
State/IUPUI
The Raiders (1-1) are paced by Shey Peddy and LaShawna
Thomas, who average 15.5 points per game apiece. Molly Fox adds
10.5 ppg while Erica Richardson is pulling down a team-high 7.5
rebounds per game. Wright State is coached by Bridgett Williams,
who is in her eighth season with the Raiders.
The Jaguars are 3-2 and are led by Jernisha Cann (18.4 ppg), Nicole James (10.6 ppg) and Julia Whitted (10.6 ppg). IUPUI is coached by Shann Hart, who is in her fifth year with the Jaguars.
