Hot-Shooting Freshman Ranked Nationally

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Freshman forward Saadia Doyle ranks with the elite rebounders and shooters in the nation in the NCAA Division I women's basketball statistics released by the association on Jan. 21.

The Atlanta, Ga. native is ranked sixth in the nation in double doubles with 10. Doyle is also seventh in rebounds per game with 11.3 and top-50 in field goal shooting percentage, hitting on 51.7 percent of her attempts.  Her 22 rebounds versus Coppin State on Jan. 11 is fifth-highest in the nation this season. She currently leads the MEAC in three categories (double doubles, rebounds/game and defensive rebounds/game) and ranks in the top-5 in seven total categories.

Doyle has been Howard's leading scorer in four games this year and is averaging 16.1 points a game. 

The Lady Bison host Florida A&M on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. and Bethune-Cookman on Monday evening at 6:00 p.m.
