WASHINGTON, D.C. - Freshman forward Saadia Doyle (Atlanta, Ga./Columbia H.S.) was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week for the seventh time this season, the conference announced today.
Doyle totaled 34 points and 22 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Lady Bison. She tallied 17 points, 11 rebounds and two steals against Norfolk State and followed that with 17 points and 11 rebounds for her 16th double-double of the year in a win over Florida A&M.
This is the second time this season that Doyle has earned back-to-back Rookie of the Week honors. She received the honor last week after averaging 21 points and 8.5 rebounds.
Howard faces off with Bethune-Cookman in a pivotal MEAC contest on Monday at 5:30 pm.
