Doyle Named MEAC Rookie of the Week for Eighth Time

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Forward Saadia Doyle (Atlanta, Ga./Columbia H.S.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week for the eighth time this season, it was announced today.

Doyle totaled 34 points and 21 rebounds in two games for the Lady Bison last week. She tallied 18 points, 11 rebounds and one steal against Bethune-Cookman and recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds for her 18th double-double of the year in a win over Maryland Eastern Shore.

This is the third consecutive week that Doyle has earned Rookie of the Week honors. She is also a finalist for Heritage Sports Radio Network's (HSRN) National Player of the Week.

Howard (15-12, 10-5 MEAC) wraps up its regular season on Thursday with a road matchup against Hampton. Game time at the Convocation Center is slated for 6 pm.
