WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – The Howard University women's basketball team opens the season on Friday, Nov. 9 against St. Francis (Pa.) in Loretto, Pa., tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. in Degol Arena.

• The Red Flash finished the 2011-12 season with a record of 14-16 (11-7 conference/3-9 non-conference)
• SFU opened the 2012-13 season with a 75-63 win over McGill on Nov. 3 in an exhibition contest

Doyle on the Double
Senior Saadia Doyle was name Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Preseason Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The honor was announced on Thursday, Nov. 1.
