LAUREL, MD. - The Lady Bison bowling squad downed St. Francis and Winston-Salem State in individual head-to-head action Saturday afternoon at the Bowie State Bowling Classic.

Howard finished 2-4 in individual action after falling to Norfolk State, Fairleigh Dickinson, St. Peter's and the host Bulldogs.

Brianna Uzzell knocked down 1210 pins on day one, a team-high, and rolled a season-high 236 in game one. She had another 200+ game in game six, knocking down 233 pins. Uzzell finished with a 201.6 average, 12th highest on the weekend amongst all individuals and sixth highest amongst MEAC competitors.

Shayla Haynes had a good outing as well and tallied 1088 total pins, including a season-high 212 in game three versus Norfolk State. Haynes averaged 181.3 pins in individual action.

Howard returns to action this weekend at the Kutztown Golden Bear Classic in Reading, Pa.
