LAUREL, MD. - Howard finished 3-1 in individual action and recorded two victories in baker games during action at the Frederick E. Underwood Lady Bulldogs Classic in Laurel, Md.
In individual head to head action, the Lady Bison defeated Coppin State 846-742 and then posted wins over North Carolina Central (774-743) and Penn State-Altoona (839-746).
Howard defeated Winston-Salem State (775-638) and Norfolk State (706-632) in baker action.
In the win over Penn State-Altoona, the Bison were led by the duo of Brianna Uzzell and Shayla Haynes. Uzzell paced HU with a game of 211 while Haynes had a 202 game.
Uzzell and Jordane Frazier were the top two bowlers for Howard as Uzzell had an average of 189, while Frazier knocked down 818 pins in five games.
Elizabeth Sanders totaled 794 pins and Haynes totaled 657 pins.
HU (17-47, 7-23 MEAC) returns to action Jan. 29-31 at the Kutztown Invitational.
