WASHINGTON, D.C. - The anticipated winter weather has forced the Howard women's bowling squad to miss this weekend's Capital Classic bowling tournament.  The event, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, February 6-7, is hoping to be rescheduled for later this month, Delaware State University officials said in a release on Thursday.

The event was originally scheduled to be held at the Brunswick Doverama in Dover, Del. Thirteen collegiate women's bowling teams, including seven in the latest National
Tenpins Coaches Association (NTCA) Top 20, were scheduled to compete in the
tournament.
