WASHINGTON, D.C. - Howard wrapped up its regular season with a 20-4 senior day loss to Louisville Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium. The decision marked the final appearances for Alanah Webb, Candace Bouknight, Bianca Lamar and Sashah Ramirez.
Junior Sakita Holley had a pair of goals for the Bison while Ashlee Brown and Bouknight had one goal apiece. Louisville was led in scoring by Bergan Foley, who picked up a game-high four goals.
The Cardinals (12-4) outscored Howard 37-15 and held an 18-8 advantage in ground balls. Additionally, Louisville had 16 draw controls compared to six by the Bison.
Howard (2-11) jumped out to a quick lead when Holley scored the first goal 10 seconds into the period. The Cards responsed and held HU scoreless for the rest of the half, taking a 13-1 lead into the break.
