Howard Lacrosse Outscored by Navy, 19-5
ANNAPOLIS, MD. - The Howard lacrosse team was unable to overcome the Navy Midshipmen's nine goal halftime lead as the Lady Bison suffered its fifth straight loss, 19-5 , at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
The Mids (9-3) took a significant lead that stretched five minutes into the second period.
Bianca Lamar picked up 13 saves for the Bison (1-8), while Natalie Blanden got the win for Navy and finished with five saves.
The Midshipmen led in shots 36-18, while Navy won the groundball battle 19 to 10.
Howard next hosts Central Connecticut State on Friday at 3pm.
