Howard Races Past St. Francis, 18-5 on Wednesday
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Howard University women's lacrosse team posted its highest scoring output since April, 2007 as the Lady Bison stopped St. Francis PA, 18-5 on Wednesday afternoon at Greene Stadium. HU picked its first win of the season and improves to 1-3 on the year while the Red Flash falls to 0-3.
The Bison led 12-1 after the half. St. Francis closed the gap in the second half and scored four goals before Howard went on a 2-0 run to end the game.
Candice Bouknight posted seven goals while Sakita Holley tallied five. Alanah Webb and Ashley Lawrence picked up two goals apiece and Sashah Ramirez contributed one.
Webb also dished out three assists and recorded five ground balls. Holley also picked up five ground balls. Keeper Bianca Lamar posted six saves.
Howard is off for a few days before hosting Siena on March 18 at 4:30 pm.
