Longwood Lances Bison, 18-4
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Liz Sellmayer, Britt Farguharson and Kesley Dean had three goals each to lead Longwood to an 18-4 win over Howard in women's lacrosse action Thursday afternoon at Greene Stadium.
Longwood (6-10) outshot Howard 29-13 and held a 16-13 advantage in ground balls.
The Lancers took a quick 2-0 run before the Bison answered with an unassisted goal by junior Sakita Holley. Holley picked another goal midway through the period but Longwood outscored Howard 8-0 to take a 13-2 lead at the break.
The Bison return to action on April 26 with its final road game against Davidson. The contest is slated for 1pm.
