Siena Lacrosse Tops Howard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Siena women's lacrosse team defeated Howard on Tuesday afternoon at Greene Stadium, 19-8.

With the loss, HU drops to 1-4 on the season while the Saints improve to 2-3.

Siena got on the board first when Caitlin Mikel scored the first two goals for the Saints. Sakita Holley and Sashah Ramirez each scored a goal apiece to even things up at 2-2 before the Siena defense held the Bison to just two more goals over the remainder of the half. Holley scored at 1:59 to make it a 10-5 Siena lead at the break.

The Saints jumped out in the second half and scored the first five goals of the game. Candice Bouknight and Holley scored back-to-back goals for HU 19:07 and 15:57, but Siena added four more goals to walk away with the win.

Howard will host Canisius on Saturday, March 22 at 1pm.
