Desiree Cox scored the lone goal for HU, which dropped to 0-2 with the loss.

Ashley Lawrence, Imani Rodman and Eboni Farmer finished with three ground balls each for the Lady Bison.

Ashley Johnson and Alexis Salerno had five goals apiece for The Mount (1-1).

Howard goalkeeper Amber Meeks stopped six shots in the loss.

HU hosts Saint Francis in its home opener on March 2. Game time is slated for 3 p.m. at Greene Stadium.
