DETROIT, MICH. - Desiree Cox scored two goals but the Howard lacrosse team lost 20-5 to Detroit in a road decision on Saturday afternoon.
The Bison trailed 16-2 at halftime and finished with 21 shot attempts in the game.
The two teams finished tied in ground balls at 24-24. Ashlee Brown and Lauren Rivers paced HU with five ground balls each. Brown, Rivers and Chasity Dailey contributed one goal apiece.
Howard (1-11, 0-6 NLC) battles Oberlin on Sunday at 4 p.m. before closing out its regular season vs. Bucknell on April 11.
