FARMVILLE, VA. - Howard was downed by Longwood, 21-6, in women's lacrosse action Thursday evening in Farmville, Va.
The Lancers jumped out to a hot start and scored the first nine goals of the game. Senior Sakita Holley stopped the Bison drought at the 7:45 mark with an unassisted goal.
Lauren Rivers scored again with just over three minutes left in the half but Howard trailed 12-2 at the break.
Holley finished with three goals for the game and Rivers added two. Ashley Lawrence scored one goal for the Lady Bison, who fell to 0-9 with the loss.
Bison keeper Amber Meeks stopped 13 shots.
Howard hosts UC Davis on Monday.
