Howard Falls to Navy in Season Finale
ANNAPOLIS, MD. - Howard fell to Navy, 22-7 in a women's lacrosse decision Monday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The contest was the final regular season game for the Lady Bison, who will now prepare for the NLC Tournament on May 1-3 in Farmville, Va.
HU got a team-high five goals from senior attack Sakita Holley. Sophomore Ashley Lawrence added a pair of goals and Lauren Rivers chipped in two assists.
The Mids held a 29-20 in ground balls and outshot HU 34-14.
Nyla Funderburk had seven saves at the keeper position for the Bison while Elaina Ponchione stopped three shots for Navy.
