Purple Eagles Soar Over Bison
NIAGARA, N.Y. - Sakita Holley scored three goals and Ashley Lawrence added two as Howard fell to Niagara, 23-5 on Sunday.
The Lady Bison were outshot 38-10 and trailed 14-1 at halftime. Howard got the advantage in turnovers, however, causing 11 Purple Eagle turnovers while finishing with just seven miscues of its own.
Nyla Funderburk picked up the loss at the keeper position while stopping seven shots. Niagara goalie Whitney Gill had four saves in the win.
Howard (0-4) returns home on Thursday for a matchup against Bryant at 4pm.
