GREENSBURG, PA. - Howard outscored Seton Hill 7-4 in the first half but the Griffins came back and edged the Bison, 10-9 in a women's lacrosse contest in Greensburg, Pa.
Ashlee Brown got HU on board at 27:06 with an unassisted goal. Sakita Holley scored six minutes later and gave the Bison a 2-0 lead before Seton Hill scored two straight and tied things up at 2-2.
Lauren Rivers and Holley scored the next three Bison goals. Holley added two more before the intermission as Howard took a 7-4 lead at the break.
The Griffin defense rebounded in the second half, however, and HU to just two goals in the stanza.
Ashley Lawrence and Holley added one goal each at 21:31 and 3:32, respectively, but Howard could not rebound after being outscored 6-2 after the intermission.
The Bison (0-7) return to action on March 30 against Wilmington (Md.). Game time is slated for 6 p.m. in Aberdeen, Md.
