Women's Lacrosse Drops Decision to Bryant

Boxscore

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Bryant used a streak of 10 unanswered goals to hand the Lady Bison a 15-4 loss at Greene Stadium Thursday afternoon.

Sakita Holley halted  the Bulldogs' game-opening 3-0 run with a goal at the 25:08 mark. Lauren Rivers added a goal with 13:43 left and Holley scored two more to pull HU within a pair of the lead at the half, 6-4.

The momentum changed in the second period, however, as the Bison went cold and Bryant's defense held Howard scoreless for the rest of the game.

Allison Faiola scored four of her five goals after the break for BU, who picked up its first win of the season with the victory.

HU keeper Amber Meeks stopped 12 shots in the loss. Howard was outshot 37-15 but the Bison held a 12-8 advantage in ground balls.

Howard (0-5) continues its play when it travels to St. Francis (Pa.) next Tuesday, March 18 at 5:00 pm.
