The Howard University women's lacrosse team will be looking to get its first win of the season
when it host High Point on Friday at 6 pm in Greene Stadium.
The Lady Bison (0-7) last played on April 10 when they lost to Wesleyan, 18-10 on the road.
Howard fields a very young team which is comprised mostly of sophomores. Courtland Lackey,
a sophomore midfielder from Trenton, NJ leads the team in goals with 17 and is tied with Cynthia
Smalls, a sophomore midfielder from Far Rockaway, NY for points with 17.
Jaymie Cox, a freshman attacker from Hendersonville, TN, has registered 16 points on nine goals
this season.
High Point comes in as a formidable opponent. The Panthers are 8-3 and had their five-game
win streak snapped by Duke, 16-7 on April 11.
Following the High Point contest, Howard entertains Davidson at 1 pm on Sunday in Greene
Stadium in back-to-back matches. The Wildcats will come into the contest with a 4-8 record.
