Women's Soccer Team Still Looking For First Victory

Towson, MD-Sept. 17-The Howard University women's soccer team is still looking for its first win after an 8-0 loss to Towson University on the Tigers Towson Center Field in a non-conference game.

The undermanned Bison (0-6-0) have been plagued by injuries since the beginning of the season and it continues to affect the outcome of their games.

Towson got its first goal 10 minutes into the game and then scored back-to-back goals during a 40-second span to take a 3-0 halftime advantage and coast into the victory.

The Tigers (4-2-1) used their bench liberally and wore down Howard, which dresses only 14 players.  Towson held a whopping 37-13 advantage in shots and 8-0 in shots on goal.

Natalie Williston led the Bison in shots with 4 while goalkeeper Jessamyn Perkins was credited with 14 saves in goal.

Howard will try to snap its winless streak when it hosts Robert Morris on Friday at 7 pm in Greene Stadium.
