OREM, UTAH - The Howard women's soccer team defeated Delaware State 3-0 in the United Soccer Conference (USC) quarterfinals Wednesday afternoon on the campus of Utah Valley State. The win moves the Lady Bison into the semifinal round where they will face conference leaders Longwood on Friday at Noon.

Rachael Lee gave the Bison a 1-0 lead with about eight minutes left in the first half. Howard picked up two more goals in the second stanza, sealing its postseason win after Megan Nick scored on an assist from Briana Gamble and DSU had an own goal to favor HU.

Jessamyn Perkins had five saves and a shutout in the win for Howard (3-15). Courtney Haas stopped four shots for the Hornets in the loss.
