Youngstown State defeats Howard on final day of Penguin Classic

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - Youngstown State defeated Howard, 5-1 on the final day of the Penguin Classic on Sept. 16.

DeLaine Anderson scored the goal for the Lady Bison in the 77th minute on an assist from Rachael Lee and Natalie Whilliston.

As a team Howard finished with 18 shots, 10 on goal while the Penguins took 18 shots, 14 of them on goal.

YSU's Lauren Brennan scored four of the five goals for the Penguins.

HU (0-6) returns to action on Tuesday with a non-conference matchup against Robert Morris at 4pm in Moon Township, N.J. 

Note: Jessamyn Perkins and Megan Nick were named to the Penguin Classic All-Tournament team as announced on Sept. 17...Perkins picked up 10 saves against Indiana State and nine saves against Youngstown State...Nick played great defense in both decisions.
