Lady Bison Blank Delaware State for First Conference Win
DOVER, DEL. - Four different Bison scored as Howard blanked Delaware State, 5-0 in a United Soccer Conference (USC) matchup in Dover, Delaware. HU picked up its first league win and improved to 1-1 in the USC.
Senior Natalie Williston scored two goals in the victory while Megan Nick, Rachael Lee and Aliyah Glenn contributed one goal apiece.
Goalkeeper Jessamyn Perkins had three saves while DSU keeper Courtney Haas added a pair of saves in the loss.
Howard outshot Delaware State (2-7-1, 0-1 USC) 11-8 with Williston leading the Bison offense with six shot attempts, four of them on goal.
Lee added two assists and Glenn added one.
HU is off for nearly two weeks, next returning to action on Oct. 12 with a home conference match against South Carolina State. Game time against the Bulldogs is slated for 12 pm.
