FARMVILLE, VA. - Longwood blanked Howard, 4-0 in the conference opener for both teams Sunday afternoon in Farmville, Va. 

Natalie Williston and Brittany Miner took one shot apiece for the Bison. Howard was outshot 24-2 by the Lancers, who improve to 6-2-1 (1-0 USC) with the win.

With the loss, the Bison fall to 1-9-0 (0-1 USC).

Senior goalkeeper Jessamyn Perkins stopped 10 shots while Marcia Biddle and Kristien McGough shared the keeper responsibilities for Longwood.

Howard returns to action on Wednesday with a conference matchup against Delaware State. Game time in Dover is slated for 5 pm.
