Radford Defeats Howard in Women's Soccer Action

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Radford scored two goals in each half and went on to blank Howard, 4-0 in a non-conference women's soccer game at Greene Stadium. 

The Highlanders (1-0) got on the board first when Latrice Lee scored four minutes into the first half. Radford set the tone for a physical game that saw three yellow cards handed out.

McKenzie Vergara and Kathleen Jarvis each added one goal while Lee added a second goal at 52:50 to close out the scoring for the Highlanders.

Howard (1-1) managed seven shots to 24 by Radford. Briana Gamble led the Bison with three shots on goal while goalkeeper Jessamyn Perkins had 10 saves.

HU will host Robert Morris next Sunday, Aug. 31 at 1 pm in Greene Stadium.
