Koefoed and Bell Sweep Weekly Great West Honors
NAPERVILLE, ILL. - For the second time this season, Roetha Koefoed and Chanel Bell have been selected as Great West Conference Soccer Players of the Week. The awards were announced Monday by the league office.
Koefoed, a freshman midfielder from Bethesda, Md., scored two of Howard's three goals in the 3-0 win over league opponent Delaware State in the inaugural Great West Conference soccer match last Friday.
In winning the defensive award, Bell garnered two saves and picked up her second shutout of the season. The goal keeper is a sophomore from Goleta, Calif.
