Lady Bison Sweep Great West Honors

NAPERVILLE, ILL. - Howard University soccer players Retha Koefoed and Chanel Bell swept the inaugural Great West weekly honors, the conference announced on Monday.

Koefoed, a freshman midfielder from Bethesda, Md., had two shots (one on goal) and one assist in Howard's debut last Sunday versus Youngstown State. The Bison fell to the Penguins, 4-2 at Greene Stadium.

On the defensive side, Bell took the honors after posting 11 saves for a .786 save percentage. The goal keeper is a sophomore from Goleta, Calif.

HU travels to Radford on Friday for a 7 pm matchup.
