Offense Propels Howard Past Delaware State, 5-2

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Freshman Jordan Brown had three goals while Retha Koefoed and Cynthia Snyder added one goal apiece to lead Howard to a 5-2 win over Delaware State Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium.

HU's 27 shots marked a new season high. Brown led the way with seven shots (six on goal) while Snyder also attempted seven shots (three on goal).

Howard (2-7-2, 2-0-1 GW) also led 9-1 in corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeeper Chanel Bell had five saves in 90 minutes of action.

Delaware State (1-11-0, 0-3-0 GW) was led by Chelsea Brown and Michelle Giorgilli, who chipped in one goal each.

HU is off for a week before returning to action on Oct. 18 versus South Carolina State. Game time in Orangeburg, S.C. is slated for 1 pm.
