Women's Soccer Clipped by NJIT
NEWARD, N.J. - The Howard women's soccer team surrendered two unanswered goals and fell 2-0 in a trip to Great West foe NJIT on Sunday.
Howard falls to 3-8-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the Great West, while NJIT moves to 7-6-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the conference. The Lady Bison finish their two-match home swing with games against Longwood (Tuesday, 7:00 pm) and league member South Carolina State (Friday, 4:00 pm) this week.
Three-time Great West Defensive Player of the Week Chanel Bell made four saves on the Highlanders' six shots on goal, while Sadie Mele turned away four of the HU's attempts.
