W. Soccer Earns Second Straight Win

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Howard University women's soccer team earned its second straight win of the season when they defeated VMI 2-0 at Greene Stadium on Monday night. The Lady Bison dominated the entire game, holding the Keydets to just one shot for the night.

Jordan Brown gave Howard its first goal midway through the first stint off a rebound from Rachael Lee within the 18 yard box. The second goal was scored by Retha Koefoed off a penalty kick in the 71st minute.

For the game, Howard held 17-1 advantage on shots. Koefoed led the Lady Bison with six shots. Cynthia Snyder and Brown recorded four and three shots, respectively.

HU will look for its third-straight victory when it travels to Lynchburg, Va. on Fri. Sept. 17 to face Liberty. First kick is set for 7 p.m.
