WASHINGTON, DC - The Howard Univ. women's soccer team kicked off the first game of a double-header at Greene Stadium against the Robert Morris Colonials from Pennsylvania on Sat. Sept. 11, 2011. With today's 4-1 loss, Howard falls to 1-5-1 on the season.
In the first half, Howard recorded just two corner kicks and a shot. Bison goalie Chanel Bell made three saves on the day.
HU struggled to get things going offensively in the first half, but turned it up offensively in the second 45 minutes of play.
Although the Bison came out with intensity, they could not recover from the deficit. Retha Koefoed scored the lone goal for HU in the 81st minute off the foot of freshhman Nia Walcott.
Second half HU goalkeeper Kyra Dickinson made four saves in the loss.
The Lady Bison are back in action next Friday at George Mason beginning at 6 pm.
