Early Goal Lifts Houston Baptist Past Howard

WASHINGTON, DC – The Howard Univ. women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Houston Baptist (6-7, 1-0 GWC) on Thurs. night at Greene Stadium. This was the Great West Conference opener for both teams. With the loss, the Lady Bison drop to 1-9-1 on the season.

HBU's Amina Radoncic recorded a goal in 24th minute to give the Huskies their fifth shutout of the season.

The Lady Bison offense was held to just four shots for the entire game. Jordan Brown, Retha Koefoed, Cynthia Snyder, and Owyn Manson recorded a shot for the Lady Bison.

Kyra Dickinson took the loss in goal, making five saves in 90 minutes of action.

The Lady Bison are back in action on Oct. 6 when they host South Carolina State beginning at 4 p.m.
